iOS10 Mail - can't open emails

Hi,

Just updated to iOS10, and now when I open an email I get a blank screen, like in the image below.

Having done some testing, I'm still receiving emails fine and able to send them. Content preview works fine (e.g. seeing the first 2 lines of the email). Just can't 'open' any emails.

One of my email accounts has an apostrophe in the email address. Deleting this mail account fixes the problem. However this account worked fine prior to the update.

Any suggestions, or just a new iOS10 bug?

Using an iPhone 6.

Tap Settings > Mail > Accounts > Fetch New Data then toggle Push OFF then back ON.

I have the exact same problem, and I also have an email address with an apostrophe. Toggling push off/on didn't work for me either, unfortunately. Any suggestions?

I also have an apostrophe in my email account.

I removed the account and now my other accounts are readable.

We're also having this problem with one of our employees, and he has an apostrophe in his email address. Hopefully a fix for this will be available soon...

Same problem. Same temp solution. Unfortunately it is my email address by my best customer and rerouting is not possible. I hope there is a fix very soon.

spent an hour with apple support today - same problem - apostrophe in one email and none in the other. remove the one that has the apostrophe and the other one then functions fine. problem is that Apple will not admit it's an issue, so who knows when a fix is in store. Not great being unable to check work email on my work phone.

The best workaround I've found is to use a 3rd party mail app, such as Outlook.

You can still keep the account with the apostrophe in the iOs settings on your device, just need to turn mail off. You can still use calendar etc with the apostrophe account.

It is due to the apostrophe in your email address. The only workaround is to 1) forward emails from your original account to a non apostrophe email address or 2) change your account in Exchange or etc to an email with no apostrophe.

Apple is aware and will fix in 10.1

The only workaround I've found for someone with this problem is to turn off "Organize by Thread" in the mail settings.

Just been called (In the Netherlands, from Texas) by an Apple service person. Together we made several test, created log files and send them over, made screen dumps etc. More then 1 hour en 15 minutes working together to analyse the problem.

I am impressed that they take this approach. I know again why I have so many Apple products.

I hope it helps to solve this strange obscure problem.
